In our first years of business, we did the majority of our work manually. We tallied every order and packed every shipment entirely by hand.
In recent years, times have changed. We have relocated to Akron, set up a warehouse with nearly 40,000 square feet of storage space, hired over 20 full-time employees, and set up a state-of-the-art computer network to help in the areas of tallying and shipping orders. The quality assurances that our modern equipment provides is deeply appreciated by the schools that we work with.
We strive for the highest quality. Our motto is, "The Standard Is Excellece," and we always stand by it.
Every order that is sent to us goes through a process to assure there are no errors. Each order we receive gets electronically scanned into and processed by our computers. In this processing stage, the computer quickly checks and stores every item that has been ordered. To assure accuracy, anything that gets an indefinite reading by the computer is manually rechecked and verified by one of our staff members, who enters the correct data into our computer network. This helps eliminate errors before items get prepared for shipping.
When items are shipped, our staff double-checks again using a flow tracking system, where every item is once again scanned and verified, checking to make sure the shipped items match the items that were initially entered into the database.
Many other companies do not yet use this high-tech computer-based system of verification, but the benefits we've gained by using them gives us a definite advantage.
